Meet Michael Hufham - Board Member

I have always had dogs in my life from when I was young to now. It was when I became older that I realized the best dogs to have were those who needed a human the most (shelter dogs) the forgotten ones.

I have had several thru the years and at one time four of my dogs each one was from a different shelter or rescue group in the area. The love that they give you is priceless which led me to volunteer with Guilford County Animal Shelter where I learned so much more thanks to several people there. When I look into the eyes of these dogs or see them get adopted its the most heart felt moment you could ever have! I had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia at the shelter and later was asked if I would be interested to join as a volunteer which I said yes.

Let me tell you it was life changing to witness good people that love their dogs and needed a hand was beyond anything I had ever seen. I witnessed first hand the compassion this group has and I knew I wanted to be a part of. I will always be there for any dog that needs our help or their families because at the end of the day they become our family as well.
